In my last post, I shared a psychological truth that our minds suffer from a Negativity Bias—a condition where failures are imprinted in stone, and our successes are written in sand.
This imprint – the “King Thought” as the deep, core limiting belief that acts as the root system, allowing countless smaller negative thoughts (the “pigs”) to multiply and thrive. The answer to these pigs and king thought producing and managing the pigs, is to challenge the King’s claim to authority with undeniable facts.
I recently experienced firsthand how cleverly the King works, even after we have identified the root.
For weeks, I struggled to make a simple address change on my blog, blogcafe.asia. I contacted my host in tollfree number. Not much help. I kept postponing the same. This was a small, frustrating hurdle, but it occupied my mental energy. When I finally sought clear guidance, followed the instructions, and fixed the problem in minutes, the first thought that immediately surfaced was:
“That was too easy; it doesn’t count as a real success.”
This thought is the King’s most powerful piece of propaganda. It attempts to dismiss my victory and keep the negative memory of weeks of struggle intact.
We must understand that if a victory is not counted, the King keeps its power. Our strategy, therefore, must involve consciously crediting our wins and recording them as factual evidence against the King’s false claims.
Here is the decisive action I took, and how one can apply this method to consciously BALANCE the memory and starve the King (negative thoughts) of its power.
